Smart cities, IoT, and autonomous vehicles require communication with virtually no delay and higher data rates. As the number of individuals or units in a given location increase, for example in an airport, office or a hospital, so does the need for bandwidth. This drives the use towards higher frequencies with more bandwidth, where the traditional antenna technology (such as circuit printed board-based PCB antennas) used for mid band, 2-6 GHz, frequencies are outperformed by Gapwaves’ antenna technology.
